I love helping people connect what they value most with how to wisely utilize their financial resources. I have the privilege of walking through different seasons of life with my clients; from job changes to sending their children off to college, entering retirement and even the passing of loved ones. It’s a tremendous honor to be a trusted resource throughout their journey.
I spend most of my days meeting with clients, following up and executing on various financial planning matters, and assisting with the management of our client’s portfolios. I also lead our team of professionals who support the entire client service experience at Verity. Prior to becoming a full-time financial planner, I spent 7 years working in public accounting as a CPA. While I don’t miss filing tax returns, those years built a foundation of tax and accounting knowledge that I draw upon daily to serve our clients.
I have had the privilege to be trained and mentored by a few different extremely high-quality advisors before they each retired. I know I’d not be who I am today, both professionally and personally, apart from their example. It is my intent to carry on their legacy in how I treat and serve my clients at Verity.
My wife, Becky, and I met while attending Messiah College and have been married since 2008. We’re blessed to have 3 children: Aiden, Eli and Hazel. We spend much of our time together playing in the yard or joining up with our friends. I also love to be active and enjoy sports of all kinds. Some of my favorite things are taking a run on the Appalachian trail near our home, getting away to the mountains for a ski trip or meeting friends for a round of golf.
I am a member at West Shore Evangelical Free Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, and serve as the volunteer Planned Giving Advisor to Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg. I am also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and serve on the PICPA’s Personal Financial Planning Committee as well as its Investment Committee.
